As a small non-profit, New Directions relies on the generosity of individuals and organizations. 100% of donations support our mission to serve victims of domestic, intimate partner, and sexual violence while promoting safe, respectful, and loving relationships in our community. In-Kind Donations


Donations of items for our shelter are greatly appreciated. To best meet the needs of our residents, please consider donating the following commonly needed items:

  • Clorox wipes
  • Aluminum foil
  • Plastic wrap
  • Baggies
  • Disposable plates, cups, and plasticware
  • Paper towels, toilet paper, and tissues
  • First aid kits
  • New sheets, blankets, towels, and pillows
  • New underclothes and nightwear
  • Laundry and dishwasher detergent
  • New children’s toys
  • Gift cards for gas, restaurants, entertainment, or supermarkets
  • New frying pans, cookie sheets, and square/rectangle baking pans

Note: Due to health and safety considerations, New Directions does not accept used items such as clothes, bedding, and toys with fabric (e.g., stuffed animals). Additionally, because of limited storage space, we can only accept a limited quantity of new clothing, bedding (including blankets), and personal care items. Donations not accepted by New Directions are referred to Interchurch or similar organizations.
